The short version
You can cancel a subscription at any time and keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Credits are consumed the moment a video or image is generated, so spent credits can't be returned — but if our system fails to deliver, the credits go back to your balance automatically.
Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. Cancel from Pricing in your dashboard, or through the billing portal linked there.
Cancelling stops the next renewal. It does not end the current period: you keep your plan and the credits already granted until the period you paid for runs out. We do not pro-rate partial months.
Credits are the unit you spend on generation. They are deducted when a job starts and are not transferable between accounts. Credits do not expire while your account is open.
Unused credits from a one-time top-up can be refunded within 14 days of purchase, provided none of that purchase has been spent. Once any part of a top-up has been used, that purchase is no longer refundable.
If a render fails on our side — an engine error, a worker dropping out, a server restart mid-job — the credits for that job are returned to your balance automatically. You do not need to ask.
If you believe credits were taken for a job you never received, contact us with the approximate time and we will check the job records and correct it.
If you are a consumer in the EU, EEA or UK, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract without giving a reason.
VideoShort.ai supplies digital content that is delivered immediately. When you start a generation, you expressly request that we begin performance during the withdrawal period, and you acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal for the content that has been delivered. This is how the exception in Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU works, and it is why spent credits cannot be returned.
For anything you have paid for but not yet used, the 14-day withdrawal right applies in full. Write to us within 14 days of purchase and we will refund the unused portion to the original payment method.
Use the contact page and include the email address on the account and the approximate date of the charge. We aim to respond within 5 business days, and approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Your bank may take a further few days to show it.
If something looks wrong on your statement, please contact us before opening a dispute with your bank — it is almost always faster. Accounts with an open chargeback may be suspended until it is resolved.
We may update this policy. The date at the top always shows the current version, and changes are not applied retroactively to purchases already made.
